I'm still out in the UK for a bit, but here's a new Bonnie for ya! And a huge, big shoutout to all the folks who came and chatted with me and shared their derby stories with me this past weekend at Thought Bubble!! It was such an unexpected warm welcome and I apologize for squealing every time someone said they'd read my comic. What an amazing show and so much positive energy swirling about (enough to keep everyone cheery amidst gray weather and flooding!) Also big shoutout to amazingly fun table neighbors Danny Noble, Matt Boyce, and Pablo Ientile! Great comics + great banter = convention magic!

Meeting all SORTS of women different from me was one of my favorite things about derby. Oh and HEY - fun fact - Facebook told me yesterday it's been SIX years since I first made it on to my roller derby league! I can't belieeeve it's been so long. And of course, I was only on the league for a year and a half BUT STILL! Aw, I miss it so much.

Once again, I'll be in Leeds this weekend for THOUGHT BUBBLE! I'm super excited slash nervous slash not sure at all what to wear/bring, but I'll be there! Table 69A in Royal Armouries Hall. HAYYY everyone! I'm back from NYCC and still pretty blitzed, but here's last week's 2nd Bonnie! BONNIE RETURNS and we're at strip #400! Ever since watching Mad Max, I feel like the "pressing forehead" move is especially touching. Furiosa does it when she reunites with her long lost kin, and then the other day while on my way to work, I saw a rockabilly dad press foreheads with his son to say goodbye. Both situations -- almost cried. It melted away allll my morning anger.

So hey - anyone who's coming to NEW YORK COMIC CON next week, come visit me! I'll be at table BB15 in Artist Alley, and on a Kickstarter Panel on Friday from 1:30 - 2:30! Plus, next Thursday is my birthday so you can come by and say what my brother says to me every year: "HAPPY OLD". :)

I always prefer to aim low so that I'm PLEASANTLY SURPRISED if I do a decent job. ;) Hey THANKS EVERYONE who came out to see me this past weekend at Baltimore Comic Con! I always love getting to chat with peeps about my comics - hopefully that's not TOO self indulgent! Especially loved how many people came up to me and said "Stuart, nooooo", heh heh. And I can hardly believe it but NEW YORK COMIC CON is next week and I'll be there, so you can yell at me about Stuart there, too!
